The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
